Celebrating Our $35M Series A

We're thrilled to share that Bobyard has raised a $35M Series A led by 8VC, with participation from Pear VC, Primary Venture Partners, Tishman Speyer, RXR, and Caffeinated Capital.
This milestone is exciting, but what we're most proud of is what it represents: the progress our team and contractor partners are making using Bobyard to transform how construction estimating gets done.
When we started Bobyard, we focused on landscaping - a trade that's incredibly complex and often overlooked. Contractors who've adopted our platform have seen dramatic results: an average 65% reduction in takeoff times, 3–5x more bids submitted, and more consistent, accurate takeoffs that directly improve win rates and margins. Seeing the impact firsthand, like Chopper Landscaping winning its first commercial projects thanks to Bobyard, is incredibly rewarding.
None of this would be possible without our amazing team. From engineers tackling some of the hardest computer vision problems in the world to operators building real-world solutions, our team's brilliance, dedication, and kindness are at the heart of everything we do.
We're also deeply grateful to our contractor partners and advisors. Their feedback, insights, and trust have guided us every step of the way, helping us refine our product and push the boundaries of what's possible.
With this funding, we'll continue to improve our AI models and product capabilities in landscaping while expanding into additional trades like drywall, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and framing. Our mission is simple: make construction estimating faster, more accurate, and more accessible for every contractor.
"We're solving some of the hardest problems in computer vision by teaching machines to understand blueprints," explained our founder and CEO, Michael Ding. "It's an opportunity to push the boundaries of AI in a field that directly shapes the built environment."
As we grow, we're looking for more talented, passionate people to join us. If you want to help us create next-gen software for the built world, check out our careers page.
