This week’s updates focus on improving your everyday work in Bobyard. From running smarter takeoffs, managing projects more easily, or keeping your work organized, things should feel faster and more second-nature . We also have a fresh look across Bobyard to match our new branding. Here's what's new:
A brand new look and feel
We've refreshed Bobyard's look and navigation so it now feels as sleek and modern as the product performs, while looking more cohesive with our brand across the web. This is rolling out in phases, so you might notice changes now, or in the next few days. If you need help navigating it, reach out to your CSM, or check out the walkthroughs in the next section.
Better project management
Your project dashboard is now your starting point for each new project from start to finish. From creating it, finding it, tracking its status, duplicating it, and more. See how it works here ⬇️
Top project updates:
- Find projects faster. Switch between All, My Projects, Recent, and Archived views, or save your own custom view. Folders are now flexible labels. Search can find what you’re looking for even if your search doesn’t match exactly.
- Track projects your way. Toggle between different views across list, board, and timeline depending on how you like to see your work.
- Simpler project creation. A faster, more streamlined setup when starting something new.
- Cleaner project detail page. Basics, drawings, progress, and comments all live in one view.
- Duplicate entire projects. Clone a full project with everything intact so you can update one takeoff and not modify the original.
More organized files and clients
Managing the people and paperwork behind every project and client just got easier, too. More organized client and file information means spending less time hunting for the right contact or re-checking which sheet version you're looking at. It also sets you up for cleaner handoffs across with fewer dropped or scattered details. See how it works here ⬇️
Top updates:
- New client page. Manage every client in one place. You can bulk upload contacts or add manually, add notes, and update any details.
- Smarter file organization. Sheet number, title, division, and dates are now auto-detected on every upload. Browse everything in a new All Sheets view with date filtering, and use that same metadata to filter directly in each takeoff.
- Auto-grouping by division. Bobyard automatically groups E-series, L-series, P-series, etc.

Here, we have a handful of updates to make everyday takeoff work faster and give you more control along the way.
Automated scaling on large plan sets
Setting scale on a large plan set used to mean doing it page by page. Now AI auto-scale scans every page and assigns the correct scale automatically, across every trade. The updated scale dropdown lets you collapse and expand entries so a long list is still readable.

More tools to work inside each plan set
These enhancements give you more abilities to work within your planset the way you want.
- Highlight tool. a simple highlighter — similar to Bluebeam — to call attention to notes, schedule items, or anything else worth flagging.
- Page links. linked pages are now detected automatically. Toggle them on, and click any highlighted link to jump straight to the page it references.
- Cut & fill mode. Select an existing polygon, cut it, and fill the cut area with a material all in one motion.
- Stop an AI model run. Didn't mean to commit to that AI run? You can stop it while it's still processing, instead of waiting on results you don't want.

Bobyard is the place for your estimating workflow from takeoff to proposal. Takeoff data flows straight into your estimate, and your estimate populates a proposal—all from Bobyard. No more manual re-entry or exporting across different tools, so you can get your best bid out the door in less time.

Rooms and materials, matched automatically
Floorplan association now connects every detected room and wall to its actual finish schedule item automatically. Finishes takeoffs that used to mean manually matching room-by-room now happen in the background, so you can focus on reviewing instead of re-entering.

- A GEA/GIA/NIA calculator with editable geometry and bulk add/remove tools that updates as you go, without having to re-running the model.
Faster, more secure sign-in
Enhance security for your organization with single sign-on (SSO) and multi-factor authentication (MFA). SSO login enables you to sign in with the same Google or Microsoft account you already use for work. Email MFA lets company admins require a verification code at sign-in for extra account security. Both features are available for every team with no setup required beyond turning them on.
Electrical enhancements: capture once, see it everywhere
When you fix an association during electrical AI review, that correction now carries through count, circuit routing, legend text, and panel review. You don’t need to update anything twice, and duplicate entries stay out of your way. Legend extraction also now captures full legend information, making it easier to pull vendor quotes straight from what's already been reviewed.
